We just finished with another successful Project Linus collection. We had 166 blankets brought in this year. The lucky winner of the Janome DC-3050 sewing machine was Charleen Leavitt. Charleen lives in Lincoln and has donated to Project Linus all three years that we have had the collections. She donated her time to sewing blankets for Project Linus all year long. Look for Charleen's picture on the website. A very big THANK YOU TO ALL who donated blankets for our drive. Husqvarna Viking is introducing new 4D Software for their embroidery machines. This new software is being show at Convention along with some new models of sewing machines. There are new updates for the SE on the Husqvarna Viking website. Be sure and check your version to make sure that you have the most current update. Quilt Designer II's and the Designer 1 USB also have a new updates. The Xpression embellishing or felting machine from Janome is proving to be hours of fun. This machine uses no thread or bobbin, but rather has 5 needles that felt yarn, ribbon, wool, roving, and fibers into fabric. Stop in and see this exciting machine to EXPRESS yourself. Brother just introduced a new EMBROIDERY ONLY machine. This machine was 35 built-in Disney designs and will take the Disney cards as well. It has 135 built-in embroidery designs and 6 built-in fonts. This machine does a 5 x 7 embroidery. If a new embroidery only machine is on your Want List, you will want to come in and see this new model.
